Local Morristown Company Gives Hope To Grieving Children and Teens

(Morristown, NJ) – “There is not one of us who has not been touched by seeing a friend or a family member pass away and leave children and spouses alone to deal with the grief. No one should have to cope with that alone,” said Abby Salameh, Chief Marketing Officer at Private Advisor Group (PAG).

Private Advisor Group in Morristown, New Jersey is one of five presenting sponsors of the 3rd Annual Good Grief 5K Run/Walk For Hope which will take place on June 5th in Madison, New Jersey. The other leadership sponsors are Atlantic Health Systems, Bayer, Celgene, and JBK Associates.

“Private Advisor Group and its employees and network of advisors are incredibly philanthropic. Many of us contribute time and money towards causes that help the world be a better place. For all of us, it is personal. To that end, we also encourage support from one another for the organizations that are meaningful to each of us. Our Managing Director, Pat Sullivan, has been such an integral supporter of Good Grief, in fact he is one of the reasons the organization exists to this day. We all feel it is important not only to support Pat’s efforts but to also raise awareness and money to help the generous volunteers who spend their time helping children who have lost a parent or a sibling,” said Salameh.

Private Advisor Group participates because of the “camaraderie and community it builds amongst our peers coupled with knowing we are helping people heal,” said Salameh. We encourage local companies and businesses to support Good Grief by sponsoring the 5K Run/Walk For Hope.

The Good Grief 5K Run/Walk For Hope is a special event that brings communities together. Participants honor family and friends that have died while raising funds for much needed free programs, education, and advocacy to help children and teens learn to cope with loss of a parent or sibling.

This year, the Good Grief 5K Run/Walk For Hope goal is to raise $125,000. “We’re grateful to the people and the businesses helping us to achieve that goal,” said Joe Primo, Good Grief CEO. “Our community event sponsors include AmeriHealth, H2Ocean Restaurant, Intermedium Financial, Madison Area YMCA, Metro Dental Associates, Morris Animal Inn, and Morris Brick and Stone. Our deepest gratitude to all our sponsors and supporters.”
