Private Advisor Group advisors Kedisha Ebanks and Terri Krueger also recognized with honorable mentions at 19th Annual Awards
MORRISTOWN, NJ, September 4, 2025 / PRNewswire / Private Advisor Group, one of the largest and fastest-growing independent wealth management firms in the country*, proudly announced its cofounder and advisory board member, John Hyland, will be honored with the 2025 Invest in Others Executive Tribute.
The recognition celebrates Hyland’s long-standing commitment to community service and philanthropy, reflecting the impact he has made both inside and outside the financial profession. In his honor, half of all funds raised through this tribute will support Invest in Others, and half will go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, now Blood Cancer Society, a cause that is deeply personal because of his own journey with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Hyland proudly serves on the boards of both organizations.
The tribute will culminate at the Invest in Others Awards Gala on September 25, 2025, in Boston. All donations made before and during the evening of the gala will be matched up to the first $250,000, with the goal of raising over $500,000 in total. “John’s decades of service and dedication to philanthropy are incredibly inspiring,” said Frank Smith, CEO of Private Advisor Group. “He has always led by example, giving back to his community with humility and a sense of fun along the way. He instilled these values in our firm, so this recognition reflects not only the strength of his character but also the lasting legacy he created at Private Advisor Group.”
The spirit of service is strong at Private Advisor Group, with two advisors receiving honorable mentions and a $2000 donation from Invest in Others for the respective nonprofits in recognition of their efforts. Kedisha Ebanks, financial advisor at Global Advisor Group in Reston, Va., was recognized in the Community Service Award category for her work with Higher Achievement. Terri Krueger, senior financial advisor at Orla Wealth Management, LLC in Syracuse, N.Y., was named as a Volunteer of the Year honoree for her contributions to The Friends of CanTeen.
“Congratulations to Kedisha Ebanks and Terri Krueger, as well as all the Invest in Other finalists and honorees, on the prestigious recognition,” added Smith. “Thank you for your continued commitment to serving our profession and your communities.”
The Invest in Others Awards honor financial advisors for their commitment to nonprofit leadership in five categories: Catalyst, Community Service, Emerging Impact, Lifetime Achievement, and Volunteer of the Year. Nominations were submitted based on nonprofit work during the previous year. No fees were paid to be considered for the award. Honorees were selected through a blind review by a diverse panel of industry leaders. Winners will be announced at the Invest in Others Awards Gala in Boston on Sept. 25. The honorable mention award is presented to an advisor who has made an outstanding impact on a community through managerial contributions to a non-profit organization for at least 3 years. This includes serving with distinction as a fundraiser, board member, or other executive position.
