MORRISTOWN, NJ – April 24, 2026  — Private Advisor Group, one of the nation’s leading financial services firms, announced today that Frank Smith has been named as one of Charlotte Business Journal’s Most Admired CEOs for 2026 in the Financial Services category.
The Most Admired CEO Award recognizes established local leaders who demonstrate a strong vision for their companies, show commitment to workplace culture, and make significant contributions to the Charlotte community.
Since becoming CEO in 2023, Smith has led the expansion of the advisor community to more than 800 advisors and grown assets under management to over $44.3 billion. He strengthened the firm’s service model by aligning talent to advisor segments, advanced key initiatives including the launch of the Greenhouse technology platform, and played a central role in securing minority investments from Merchant and later LPL Financial in 2025. Under his leadership, the firm expanded its presence in the Carolinas and opened a new office in Rock Hill, South Carolina, in 2024.

He serves on FSI’s Board of Directors and, locally is an advocate for the education and athletic programs at Lake Pointe Academy in York, S.C. and serves at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, S.C.
