Frank Smith is the President, Chief Executive Officer and a managing director at Private Advisor Group. In this role, he leads three key areas of the firm focused on the collective growth of our firm’s affiliated advisors – new business development, advisor growth and engagement, and strategy. He brings over 15 years of experience in financial services to the team.

Prior to joining Private Advisor Group, Frank served as Director of Investment Solutions at CUNA Mutual Group and Senior Vice President of Enterprise Business Consulting and RIA Solutions at LPL Financial.

Frank earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and then a Graduate Certification in Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Penn State University. He holds FINRA series 7 and 66 securities registrations as well as additional licenses in life, health, and annuity.

Frank lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife and two children. Outside of work, he enjoys recreational flying, boating, and working on whatever is parked in his garage on a given day.
