James Sullivan

Managing Director, Advisor Advocacy & Technology

James Sullivan is a managing director who focuses on relationships with Private Advisor Group’s advisors and technology partners. In this role, he oversees the custodial and third-party manager operations for Private Advisor Group’s RIA. He brings over 30 years of experience in financial services to the team.

Prior to joining Private Advisor Group, James began in accounts payable department and worked up to Controller of Stuart, Coleman, & Co., Inc. He then was an Operations Supervisor when the firm merged with Ernst & Co., and later became a Branch Manager at Maxim Group.

James earned a Bachelor of Arts in English at State University of New York at Albany. He holds FINRA series 7, 8, 24, 27, 63, and 65 securities registrations.

He brings his passion for education to his community by serving on the board of his former grammar school. In addition, he is the Co-Class Chair of the Regis High School Annual Fund which raises money for the only all-scholarship high-school in the nation.

James lives in New Rochelle, NY with his wife. Outside work he enjoys watching and talking about basketball after having played it since grammar school.
